Project Description

This project updates outdated ADA curb ramps to allow for pedestrians with disabilities to safely cross streets. There may be some tree removal as well as sidewalk replacements included.

This project will also include:

  • Isolated curb, sidewalk, street sections and tree removal where needed
  • Restoring areas that were disturbed with soil, grass seed and straw

What to expect during construction:

  • ADA curb ramp updates should not affect traffic unless there is street section replacements needed
  • If street sections need replacing, then 1 lane of traffic will need to be closed
  • Drive slowly through the jobsite especially when the contractor is on site working
  • It will be dusty and dirty
  • Do not move barricades, the contractor will move them and open the road to traffic when it is acceptable to be driven on.
  • Once the topsoil, grass seed and mulch are applied it will be the homeowner's responsibility to water the restoration areas to ensure proper, adequate grass growth.
  • PAY ATTENTION

    AVOID DISTRACTIONS!

Be aware of all signage and reduced speeds. Avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating/drinking, and radio.

  • BARRICADES

    DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES!

The contractor will move them once pavement passes testing and can withstand vehicle weights.

  • WORKER SAFETY

    BE PREPARED TO STOP!

Slow down and give workers extra room. Drive cautiously through the jobsite especially If workers are on site.
