Project Description

Pavement repairs on Independence Drive from Hillegas Road to Goshen Road. We will improve storm water drainage, reconstruct poor concrete, rout and seal joints, mill and overlay with HMA and install new pavement markings.

Construction Notifications

We are making repairs to Independence Drive in Centennial Park. There are a few important things to consider.

  • Stormwater drainage improvements
  • Repair of bad concrete joints
  • Milling of concrete and overlaying with HMA pavement
  • New pavement markings
  • Beginning around 10/01 (weather permitting) only east bound traffic will be allowed on Independence Dr from Centennial Dr to Goshen Rd until the completion of the project.
  • Initially the west bound lane of Independence Dr will be closed, and then the east bound lane will close.
  • Expect traffic delays when the contractor is working in the corridor.
  • It will be dirty and dusty.
  • Do not move barricades. Contractor will move them when pavement has cured.

  • PAY ATTENTION

    AVOID DISTRACTIONS!

    Be aware of all signage and reduced speeds. Avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating/drinking, and radio.

  • BARRICADES

    DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES!

    The contractor will move them once pavement passes testing and can withstand vehicle weights.

  • WORKER SAFETY

    BE PREPARED TO STOP!

    Slow down and give workers extra room. Drive cautiously through the jobsite especially If workers are on site.
