Project Description

This project will improve storm drainage, replace poor concrete pavement and curbs, mill and overlay pavement with asphalt and place pavement markings. The streets that will be affected: Congressional Pkwy., Centennial Dr. from Independence Dr. to Congressional Pkwy., Banner Dr., Ciera Ct., and Camino Ct.

This Project will also include:

  • New storm drainage
  • New erosion control measures
  • Curb replacements
  • New asphalt over concrete
  • Installing topsoil, grass seed and restoration when project is completed

What to expect during construction:

  • Expect traffic delays when the contractor is working
  • Drive slowly and cautiously through the job site, especially if/when the contractor is on-site working
  • It will be dusty, dirty and noisy
  • Do not move barricades or cut caution tape. The contractor is responsible for removing them once it is acceptable. Moving barricades or barrels and or disturbing cordoned off areas is cause for fines to be levied against the offender per City Ordinance 99.007
  • Once the topsoil, grass seed and mulch are applied it will be the property owner's responsibility to water the restoration areas to ensure proper and adequate grass growth
  • PAY ATTENTION

    AVOID DISTRACTIONS!

    Be aware of all signage and reduced speeds. Avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating/drinking, and radio.

  • BARRICADES

    DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES!

    The contractor will move barricades when applicable. Moving barrels and/or disturbing cordoned off areas is cause for fines to be levied against the offender per City Ordinance 99.007

  • WORKER SAFETY

    BE PREPARED TO STOP!

    Slow down and give workers extra room. Drive cautiously through the jobsite especially If workers are on site.
