Project Description

The East Cook Road Concrete Rehabilitation project consists of reconstructing deteriorating sections of concrete from East Cook Road from Coldwater Road to 500' west of Disalle Blvd. This project will connect sidewalk on the north side of Cook Road to the Pufferbelly trail.

  • New curbs and drive approaches
  • Adding a 5 foot sidewalk on the north side from Westfield Drive to the Pufferbelly Trail
  • Updating pedestrian crossings at Cold Springs/Coldwater and Cook/Coldwater
  • New lane configuration westbound from Westfield Drive to Cold Springs Blvd
  • Install new storm water drainage at Cook/Westfield Drive
  • Placing topsoil and grass seed when the project is completed
  • There will be multiple phases of lane closures, but always access eastbound and westbound.
  • Drive slowly and cautiously through the job site, especially when the contractor is on sit working.
  • It will be dirty and dusty.
  • Do not move barricades, the contractor will move them and open the road to traffic when it is acceptable to be driven on.
  • The contractor will not water the grass seed. It will be the property owner’s responsibility to water the grass seed to ensure proper and adequate growth.

  • PAY ATTENTION

    AVOID DISTRACTIONS!

    Be aware of all signage and reduced speeds. Avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating/drinking, and radio.

  • BARRICADES

    DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES!

    The contractor will move them once pavement passes testing and can withstand vehicle weights.

  • WORKER SAFETY

    BE PREPARED TO STOP!

    Slow down and give workers extra room. Drive cautiously through the jobsite especially If workers are on site.
