Project Description

The Crestwood Colony Neighborhood Association is a voluntary, non-mandatory association that relies on the time and effort of its residents to develop and support association activities. As a voluntary association, it does not have a traditional Homeowners Association (HOA) structure. Instead, it is a group of volunteers who work together to improve and enhance the community as funds and resources allow.

The neighborhood has proposed expanding its boundaries to welcome residents of the former North Sherwood Terrace neighborhood, the Silver Maples Addition neighborhood, and the Summerfield association. The three neighborhoods have not been actively registered with the City of Fort Wayne for several years and are presumed inactive. This proposed expansion aims to improve cooperation efforts between residents and businesses in the neighborhood and build a more sustainable, vibrant community for volunteers.

An open house, open to the public, was held on May 6th at Gethsemane Lutheran Church with City of Fort Wayne staff and Crestwood Colony Neighborhood Association leadership.
