Project Description

This Towpath trailhead construction will involve increasing the current parking area from nine spaces to 15 spaces. The lot will also be repaved and re-striped. Brooks Construction was the low bidder and started working on the project in late June with potholing the NIPSCO gas line to determine depth.

Trail Rules

  • No Motor Vehicles

    Trails are designed only for people-powered vehicles.

  • Leash your Pets

    Pets are welcome, but must be leashed. Remove and dispose of any waste.

  • Be Kind

    Be respectful of others. Always yield to slower trail users.

  • Safety First

    Obey all traffic signs and signals.

  • PAY ATTENTION

    AVOID DISTRACTIONS!

    Be aware of all signage and reduced speeds. Avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating/drinking, and radio.

  • BARRICADES

    DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES!

    The contractor will move them once pavement passes testing and can withstand vehicle weights.

  • WORKER SAFETY

    BE PREPARED TO STOP!

    Slow down and give workers extra room. Drive cautiously through the jobsite especially If workers are on site.
