Project Description

The existing Lake Avenue Trail runs from Randallia Drive to Coliseum Boulevard on the north side of Lake Avenue. On the west end, the trail connects to the Randallia Drive Trail and Mark Slen Trail on Parkview’s campus and the trail connects to the Pemberton Levee Trail and Rivergreenway – Maumee Pathway.

This 0.45 mile extension from Coliseum Boulevard to Reed Road along the north side of Lake Avenue is expected to be constructed in 2027 or 2028. Engineering is at 75% plans. Right of way acquisition from 4 parcels will occur in summer of 2026. Bidding of the project will occur in the spring of 2027 or late 2027.

This trail will connect to the existing sidewalk on Reed Road. Four apartment complexes and Concordia Lutheran School will be connected to the trail system with this extension.
