Project Description

The existing Lake Avenue Trail runs from Randallia Drive to Coliseum Boulevard on the north side of Lake Avenue. On the west end, the trail connects to the Randallia Drive Trail and Mark Slen Trail on Parkview’s campus and the trail connects to the Pemberton Levee Trail and Rivergreenway – Maumee Pathway.

This 0.45 mile extension from Coliseum Boulevard to Reed Road along the north side of Lake Avenue is expected to be constructed in 2026. We are currently working on a route survey. The topographic survey was completed in 2024. Design of the 10-foot wide asphalt trail will take place in the summer of 2025. Land Acquisition will occur in late fall and the winter. Bidding of the project will occur in the spring of 2026.

This trail will connect to the existing sidewalk on Reed Road. Four apartment complexes and Concordia Lutheran School will be connected to the trail system with this extension.
