Located across the pond from Lakeside Park’s sunken gardens, a planned renovation to the playground equipment and play experience awaits residents and visitors. The playground is conveniently located next to the tennis, pickleball and basketball courts with parking nearby.Rentable Pavilions #1 and #2 are a short walk to the playground.

The playground will include new equipment from Kompan, along with new mulch safety surfacing. The playground will retain the existing fire truck and turtle. The playground offers many activities to keep users busy and having fun. The new equipment provides activities including: climbing, sliding, swinging, and a range of balance activities, as well as opportunities for rocking and spinning. Imaginative play is available throughout, and children can have loads of fun with friends or on their own.

New playground equipment will include the State of Indiana’s first Rope Bridge, a uno climber, 7 bays of swings, a triple tower structure, wave stepper, seesaw, spinners and a trouper multi-use play structure. The new inclusive equipment is tailored to support the physical, social, and emotional development of children ages 5-12 and is accessible for all abilities, ensuring every child can play and learn. Ample seating is available for parents and caregivers to supervise play.
