Project Description
The Leesburg Road Extension Project is located in the Nebraska Neighborhood. The project aims to improve safety, extend Leesburg Road to Jefferson Boulevard, and add a stoplight at the intersection with Jefferson near SweetCars. The project will also bring ADA-compliant sidewalks, drainage improvements, street lighting, and urban landscaping. The new roundabout, which will be constructed at the intersection of West Main and Leesburg, will also receive a public art sculpture known as the Wounded Veterans Memorial Monument.
Public Meeting
The City of Fort Wayne hosted a public meeting on Wednesday, January 22, 6:00 pm at VFW Post 857, 2202 W. Main Street. During the meeting, project representatives from the City of Fort Wayne and Milestone Contractors, L.P. provided project updates and answered questions from the public. An ASL interpreter was present.
