Project Description

The long-anticipated Liberty Mills Trail will connect the current trail, which ends at Middle Grove Road, with the Village at Coventry Plaza via Falls Drive. This trail serves several neighborhoods in Southwest Fort Wayne. Specifically, it will connect the Burnham Woods Neighborhood, Lakes of Liberty Mills Neighborhood, Liberty Hills Neighborhood, Parkway Hills Neighborhood, Rolling Hills Neighborhood, and Saratoga Park Neighborhood Associations.

The trail is 0.75 miles long and will allow Southwest Fort Wayne trail users to connect to many businesses, churches, and neighborhood assets, including Aboite Baptist Church, Kroger, Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene, Zesto, Salsa Grille, and the Aboite Library. The new Liberty Mills Road Trail will be 10 feet wide, allowing bicyclists, walkers, runners, and users with mobility aids to move without conflict.

Update on 4/17, trail construction is resuming with the boardwalk construction and retaining wall construction.
