Project Description

The Rivergreenway along the Maumee River between Coliseum Boulevard and the Pierson Ditch is flooded much of the spring every year and sometimes closed for long periods of time. The trail has been damaged from riverbank erosion also and parts of the trail will eventually be lost to erosion. Because of these reasons, the trail will be moved farther north onto the former Lakeside Golf Course property.

The trail realignment is currently in design, and it is expected to go to bidding in the fall of 2025 with a City Utilities wetland project. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2026.
