Building off of the success of Promenade Park, this phase of Fort Wayne’s focus on the riverfront will provide direct connections from the surrounding neighborhoods to the river via a new pedestrian esplanade, a series of get-downs and docks, and accessible trails.

Also offered will be a second section of Tree Canopy Trail, an accessible boulder mound, a hammock grove, a variety of gathering spaces, green infrastructure improvements, and landscape beautification. This $28.3 million investment will tie seamlessly into the area’s existing infrastructure and private developments, providing a variety of social, environmental and economic benefits.
