Project Description

The 1.8 mile long Stellhorn Road Trail from Maplecrest Road to Wheelock Road is under design. This 10-foot wide asphalt trail is expected to be constructed in 2027. Engineering will continue through 2025 with right of way acquisition and permitting planned for 2026.

This trail will connect neighborhoods with shopping, restaurants, schools, churches, medical offices and other destinations. The trail will connect to the Maplecrest Road Trail on the west end, which connects to the Rivergreenway. On the east end, the trail will connect to the Maysville Road sidewalk and Landin Road Trail, which will then link trail users to New Haven and the Rivergreenway.

The trail will also connect with the Wheelock Road Trail and Jefferson Middle School. Some shopping centers that this trail will connect to directly or indirectly via other trails include Maysville Pointe, Chapel Ridge, Northwood Plaza and Georgetown.
