Project Description

The City of Fort Wayne is replacing the Tillman Road bridge over Highland Drain #4 just west of S Hanna St. The new bridge will improve vehicle, pedestrian, and trail access. The design includes wider sidewalks and trails compliant with ADA standards and supports future connections. This project is critical for ensuring continued access to local amenities and services. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.

  • Trail reconstruction (500 feet east and west of the bridge)

  • Raised road grade for flood resilience

  • Full road and trail closure for approximately 8 months
