Project Description

Kreager Park will receive new playground equipment, synthetic turf safety surfacing and playground border in Spring of 2026. The playground is provided by Great Lakes Recreation and is manufactured by Little Tikes. The custom combination playground structure provides hours of play opportunity. The new additions will enhance the variety of playground activities available to children, including climbing, sliding, swinging, and a range of balance activities. The play equipment includes a hexagonal shade structure, hideout seating, musical elements, 3 slides, Alex’s lemonade plan panel, 3 swings and the Very Hungry Caterpillar structure.

The new inclusive equipment is tailored to support the physical, social, and emotional development of children ages 2-5 and is accessible for all abilities, ensuring every child can play and learn. Parents and caregivers can enjoy as they supervise from the comfort of the existing seat-back benches on the playground.

Located east of Downtown Fort Wayne, the park includes ample parking, two additional playgrounds, softball and soccer fields, tennis courts and walking paths.
